 Research |
The goals of research into SUDC are to identify the cause or causes of SUDC, indetify factors (the avoidance of which can reduce the risk or prevent SUDC), improve postmortem evaluation of these children, aid in the creation of state and national legislation that will facilitate research into SUDC, stimulate increased research into SUDC, improve the quality and quantity of support services for relatives of SUDC, improve vital statistics regarding SUDC, and educate health professionals and the public about SUDC. |
 Awareness |
Raising awareness is crucial to help uncover the mystery of SUDC, for rallying public support and passing legislation, and for fundraising. The SUDC Awareness Posters are made possible by the talent and generosity of the Della Femina Rothschild Jeary Ad Agency in NYC. Additional funding is needed to produce quality ad materials. Our website also falls under the awareness program providing vital information for the entire SUDC community. |
 Advocacy |
With your help, the SUDC Program will continue to advocate at all levels of government for funding to support SUDC research, continue our awareness campaigns and to provide support and bereavement programs to those affected the the tragedy of SUDC. |
 Support |
The SUDC Program continues to grow to meet the needs of families affected by SUDC. Our mission has always been to reach out to families and provide support so that they would not feel isolated by their tragic loss. Our hope is that no family would have to live their lives with unanswered questions about their child’s cause of death. As the word about the SUDC Program spreads through the medical community, media and communities, more families affected by SUDC have found our program. |
