SUDC Foundation Awards Grant to AAP and NAME to Establish National Guidelines for the Investigation of Sudden Deaths of Children

CEDAR GROVE, N.J., Feb 28, 2017  -- The SUDC Foundation, the only organization worldwide dedicated to sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC), has awarded nearly $100,000 to the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME) to work collaboratively with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to investigate and establish national practice guidelines surrounding the investigations of sudden unexpected deaths in infants and young children, to determine research needs and the sensitive care of families affected.

Christopher's Crusaders Supports Bereaved Children

Eden Briscoe lost her son Christopher to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood on April 5, 2015. In an effort to channel her grief, and work toward honoring the legacy of her son, she created Christopher’s Crusaders, a community effort dedicated to supporting the mission of The SUDC Foundation.
