The Makaylen Mile – September 6, 2025

Join us on Saturday, September 6 at 9AM at the annual High Forest Old Settlers Day Celebration for the 2nd Annual Makaylen Mile. This 1.3-mile walk/run event will honor the memory of precious Makaylen Jaymes Plotz and help to raise awareness and funds for the research of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).

In addition to the 1.3-mile walk/run through beautiful High Forest Village Park, the morning will include a kids scavenger hunt for a special prize, a kids fishing contest, multiple kids games and activities, a photo booth, live music, bean bag tournament, wagon rides, the grand parade, a bonfire, and more! Food vendors and a cash bar will also be available starting at 11:00am.

A portion of the proceeds received the day of the event will go to the SUDC Foundation.
