[/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The SUDC Family Retreat 2018 was held in Naples, F.L. in October 2018. The retreat was the first-of-its kind opportunity for 150 of SUDC families from 18 U.S. States and 3 countries to come together to restore, reconnect and renew through featured speakers, yoga, group runs and walks, outings and other opportunities for families to spend time with others who know their unique grief.

The weekend featured opportunities to empower bereaved families with innovative ways to cope with grief including presentations by Matthew LaBosco, Certified Conscious Transformation trainer, who taught families how neuroscience and meditation are linked, and Nora McInerny, author and host of the podcast “Terrible, Thanks for Asking,” who used her unique humor to share her personal grief story.

The retreat also featured unique opportunities for children who lost siblings to SUDC. More than 50 children participated in therapeutic play sessions and children’s yoga specifically designed for their unique needs.

Families celebrated the lives of children lost to SUDC with a sunset beach tribute and butterfly release.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”55px”][vc_column_text]
