Sponsorship Opportunities

The SUDC Foundation welcomes sponsorship to offset the direct costs associated with hosting families during the Family Retreat 2019. The Foundation is offering a variety of sponsorship opportunities to match each supporter's area of interest and budget. Sponsors will be recognized on the Family Retreat 2019 website as well as on signage prominently displayed during the retreat weekend. Welcome Reception:
A lovely outdoor gathering under the tangerine-streaked sky, featuring entertainment with a local flair, refreshments and appetizers for Foundation staff, ambassadors, families and guests. 
Funding Need: $2500.00  

Keynote Speaker (to be announced):
Finding Meaning Through Post-traumatic Growth. It isn't time that heals the wound, it is what you do with the time that matters. How to develop a greater sense of well-being and alleviate stress. 
Funding Need: $2000.00

Family Gathering Space:
A private free space for families to unwind and enjoy special time with one another. The space will be available throughout the weekend for families to participate in small group activities such as games and crafts.
Funding Need: $1,500.00  

Family Lunch:
Overlooking the lush gardens of the resort, families will enjoy a delicious lunch of Southwestern specialties as they relax after a Saturday morning filled with speakers and activities.
Funding Need: $1500.00

Yadalanh (Apache Farewell) Sunday Brunch:
Families will enjoy a relaxing send off and exchange good wishes with new friends until they all meet again.
Funding need: $1500.00

Tribute for SUDC Children: 
A tender remembrance to commemorate and honor the memory of SUDC children gone too soon. Lad by an Apache Elder, attendees will take part in a culturally significant ceremony to touch the hearts of family members who have lost a child.
Funding Need: $1200.00

Scientific Session:
SUDC Research Update led by SUDC Foundation President and Executive Director and President Laura Gould Crandall.
Funding Need: $1000.00

SUDC Foundation Meeting:
Welcome remarks and strategic initiative update by SUDC Foundation Executive Director and President, Laura Gould Crandall. 
Funding Need: $1000.00

Family Scholarships:
The SUDC Foundation will offer a limited number of partial scholarships to assist registered families with the cost of airfare and hotel accommodations related to retreat travel. Costs include those associated with domestic and international travel.
Funding Need: $16,000 Total (eleven $1000.00 and eight $500.00 sponsorship's available)

Pool Cabana Gathering Area:
Dedicated space reserved for retreat attendees to gather and socialize poolside while children have fun on the 25 foot tower twisting slide.
Funding Need: $600.00

Children's Therapeutic Activities:
Children and teens grieve differently than adults. Children ages 5-17 who are accompanying their parents over the weekend will have the opportunity to participate and bond with one another in their own an age appropriate Saturday morning activities led by professional child therapists and volunteers from New Song Center for Healing.
Funding Need: $500.00  

Adult Yoga Sessions:
Awaken your soul with light exercise for a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses as you witness the inspiring Phoenix sunrise. The class will help develop inner awareness and focus attention on the body's abilities at the present moment. 
Funding Need: $600.00 

Dessert Taco Fun: 
SUDC siblings will have an opportunity to connect with one another as they build a sweet Southwestern treat and craft representing the southwestern experience.
Funding Need: $500.00 

Saturday Morning Yoga for Kids:
Move, stretch, breathe and meditate… A fun-filled Sunday morning designed to help kids experience the benefits of yoga as a way to release anxiety, build muscles and help them channel positive energy. Led by certified child/youth Yoga instructor. 
Funding Need: $300.00
