Arianna Sophia Russo

Arianna was a battler from the moment she was born ten weeks premature weighing only 2 lbs. 3 oz in December of 2003. After a prolonged NICU stay and much prayer and worry, all signs were pointed toward a bright future for our Angel who quickly grew to a beautiful, vibrant, and healthy little girl who loved to entertain her family and charmed every person with whom she came into contact. She exuded all that was good in life.

Tragically, our hopes and dreams for the future came to a crashing end when on April 6, 2006, at the age of 28 months; Arianna went to sleep and never woke up. The cause of her death remains unknown.

After our loss we created Arianna’s Night for an Answer to benefit SUDC. Arianna’s Night for an Answer became our family’s way to keep our beautiful daughter’s legacy alive and vibrant in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her. We have been so blessed and fortunate to have the support of countless businesses and attendees through the years. In 2012, Arianna’s Night for an Answer IV was our biggest and most successful event. On May 5th, 265 people gathered to celebrate Arianna’s life and all she meant to us. Those in attendance shared stories of the times shared with our precious angel.  

Nothing will bring Arianna back to us in physical form. However, her spirit and memory remain vivid through our support of the SUDC Foundation. We hope that that one day medical science will give us an answer and prevent this tragedy from happening to any other family.
