Izzy Sperle

Izzy lived her 14 years with an unmistakable spark. Whether she was leading her teammates on the softball field, excelling in the National Junior Honor Society, or navigating the streets of New York City on her “dream come true” trip, she did so with a bright and dedicated heart.

She was a girl of rhythm and laughter. A lover of 80s classics, movie marathons on the couch with her family, and the simple, vibrant joys of being a teenager. To know Izzy was to see a “shining light” in motion.

While Izzy was known to many for her athletic leadership and academic drive, those closest to her knew her for her profound gratitude.

A friend of Izzy’s, Caroline, recently shared a window into Izzy’s private world: Izzy made it a point, every single night, to tell her parents, “I love you. Thank you for today.” She did this “just in case,” never wanting a single day to pass without expressing her love and her appreciation for the life she was living with her family.

In a moment of bittersweet grace, these were the very last words she spoke to her parents. They remain a lasting gift and a reminder of her beautiful soul and the depth of her love.

Honoring Izzy’s Legacy

Izzy’s passing was sudden and unexplained. In honor of her vibrant life and her spirit of discovery, we are supporting the SUDC Foundation.
