Elliana Catherine Oygarden

Elliana Catherine Oygarden was a loving, curious, stubborn 2 year old who was born on June 17th, 2018. She had a love for coloring, “Puppy Dog Pals”, baby dolls, bubbles and her family. Ellie always had a smile on her face, and she loved to laugh. She was very adventurous and loved exploring new ways to be goofy/have fun.

June 17th, 2020, Ellie turned 2 years old. She celebrated with some close family, had a good nap, and got lots of presents like her new F-150 Truck! She finished off her night by going out for some ice cream with her grandpa and heading off to bed. None of us ever though that would be the last time we would enjoy her smiling face.

At around 3:25 AM on the morning of June 18th, 2020, Ellie was found unresponsive in her crib. After tons of attempts to bring her back she got a heartbeat back but it had been an extremely long time that she had went without oxygen. Ellie passed away on the morning of June 19th, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family.

We had tons of questions as to what happen to our sweet little girl and none of us were shy about asking them. Doctors had no answers for us. After 2 dreadful months, we finally received the final call, which was “undetermined”. Ellie had passed away from something known as SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood).

Though we will never get our Ellie back, we live every day in honor of her. Her love shines through us. We love you always Ellie.
