About The Counselor

Amanda Brindle, LSW, deeply committed to supporting families affected by sudden unexplained death in childhood (SUDC), brings a unique perspective and skill set, well-suited to provide therapeutic assistance to those who have lost a child to SUDC. With an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BSW) from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from Columbia University, Amanda’s dedication to social work and family well-being is evident. Having trained communities and clinicians in trauma-informed care through an NCTSN grant, she possesses a nuanced understanding of grief and trauma.

Since joining the SUDC Foundation in 2019, Amanda’s role has expanded from intakes and registrations to becoming a central figure in providing comprehensive support to grieving families. She approaches therapy with a person-centered focus, employing a range of modalities tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Facilitating support groups, administrating support pages, and working closely with families in various areas of support, Amanda’s experience is finely tuned to the intricacies of grief after a SUDC loss. Amanda’s empathetic approach and commitment to creating a safe space for healing, positions her as a therapist who can offer solace, understanding, and a personalized therapeutic journey for those navigating the profound challenges of losing a child to SUDC.
