Trevor George

Our precious son Trevor George of Penfield, NY, passed of SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood) in August 2014 at the age of 6 and a half. Those that knew Trevor remember him as a very energetic, kind child.

Trevor was known by so many names: T-man, Mr T, Tornado Trev. He loved to wear mismatched socks, play with his friends, make new friends, and jam on his guitar. He was a volunteer in his community (always with a smile) and understood the concept of giving back at an early age. Trevor was both a little and big brother. He especially LOVED being a big brother to Liam. His older brother, Kadin, was just 16 months older and they did everything together; sleepovers, soccer lessons, and create with Legos. He also had a much older sister, Amber, that he loved being silly with.

Trevor had an early awareness of how people felt emotionally and never hesitated step in and be just what they needed at that moment. Even when cooking the most mundane thing for dinner, he would always get off his chair, come give me a hug and say “this dinner is amazing.” He had such determination at life. I remember tucking him in to bed after a tough day of learning to ride his 2 wheel bike. He said “tomorrow, I WILL get it,” and much to our surprise he sure did. He was SO proud and we were proud of him too.

His sudden and so confusing departure from this life has altered us in ways that we are still learning and trying to contend with.  We miss the level of activity that 3 boys brought to the house. We miss the happiness that we all embraced when he was here. We have tried to hard to put one foot in front of the other because Trevor would not want us to be sad, but he is so hard to live without. He missed by his family and friends so very much.
