Ask your local businesses, libraries, town/city halls, schools, police and fire stations to participate by lighting up their buildings throughout the month of March. Consider illuminating your home in blue and yellow to honor the children who are gone too soon and to acknowledge the resiliency within our SUDC community affected by SUDC.
Post your photos, #ShineALightOnSUDC, tag the SUDC Foundation and ask your followers to share your post to meet our 50,000 shares on social media challenge!
For more details, please email us at: [email protected].
Our families across the U.S. are joining The SUDC Foundation to #ShineALightOnSUDC by visiting and submitting requests to their local landmarks to illuminate in blue and yellow, the official colors of the SUDC Foundation, to raise awareness and honor our children gone too soon.
Paula Wummel, an SUDC Ambassador, and her family visited the illumination of the McNichols Civic Center building in Denver to honor their daughter, Elaine Diane and SUDC Awareness Month. @pwummel

We thank our families for continuing to raise SUDC awareness in their communities. Show your support by illuminating your own home in blue and yellow for SUDC awareness month. Tag us in your posts and use the hashtag #ShineALightOnSUDC. Together, let`s continue to shine a light on this important issue and support families affected by their tragic loss so that we can one day live in a world without SUDC. #SUDCAwareness
Twin Cities Friends! Help us #shinealightonsudc tonight by sharing pictures of the 35w bridge, Lowry Ave bridge and IDS Tower which will be illuminated for #sudcawareness month. 💛💙
40 states have officially declared March 2023 as SUDC Awareness month. Thank you to all of the states who have joined so far, and a huge THANK YOU to our community for helping us achieve this incredible milestone. Kristen Worrell, one of our SUDC moms, helped secure a proclamation from the state of Arkansas with her persistence and dedication to our cause. It takes all of us, and we`re so grateful for you helping spread #SUDCAwareness and #ShineALightOnSUDC within your communities!
View all of the proclamations at the link in our bio.
With one week to go, we`re getting closer to our 50,000-mile goal! Let’s keep it going and see how far we can get, because more miles means more awareness and more support for families affected by Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.
Log your miles at sudc.org/sudc-awareness-month.

Live from the scissortailpark’s Skydance Bridge for SUDC Awareness Month! Thank you mayordavidholt and sudcfoundation for lighting the bridge in blue and yellow to shine a light on SUDC in our beautiful city of Oklahoma City. You are making Caleb and all our kids so proud. If you haven’t been to cityofokc lately, you should! May all children lost for unexplained reasons help us shine their lights forever wherever they lead us. ✨💙💛✨
